We also hold a Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000) – an ISO-based certification scheme for auditing and certification of food safety systems of the organizations in the whole food supply chain.
Solbar Food Technologies relies on its state-of-the-art laboratory for analytical insight, testing each step from receiving the raw materials through the final product and assuring quality every step of the way.
Our laboratory technicians are highly experienced, with several working with us for more than 20 years. Solbar Food Technologies’ laboratory, at our facility next to the port of Ashdod, is equipped with adequate equipment to run a wide range of chemical tests, such as of protein, moisture and oil. Our technicians also gauge the viscosity of ingredients and do customized tests of gluten and of GC (gas chromatography), plus HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) instruments.
Thanks to the integration of our equipment with excellent human capital, we annually attain a high grading in AOCS Laboratory Proficiency Program testing. The AOCS results confirm the high capabilities and maximal accuracy of the Solbar Food Technologies laboratories.
The knowledge and experience our Department of Development and Quality Assurance has gleaned over many years also enables us to conduct research and development of advanced products that soybean components can yield. That creates ever-greater potential for our clients and adds higher value to the services and products we now offer.
Indeed, Solbar Food Technologies is exploring opportunities to strengthen our Development team to allow us to conduct important research into expanded uses for soybeans and other grains – especially due to their protein content.
